NZ businesses to benefit from the most powerful China Business Summit yet

By 9 July 2020August 10th, 2021No Comments

In order to achieve a sound recovery following the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, New Zealand businesses will need to restructure, reimagine and reignite their relationships with China.

This month’s 2020 China Business Summit will be one of the most important trade discussions New Zealand will witness this year.

Auckland Business Chamber CEO and event co-host Michael Barnett says the summit is a chance for organisations to make sure they’re business-ready as we focus on economic recovery and relationships with our biggest trading partner in the wake of Covid-19.

“The summit’s impressive line-up of contributing personalities will provide attendees with unique business and political perspectives. It is going to steer NZ businesses in the right direction for managing the new realities of international business.”

NZ INC. Director and event co-host Fran O’Sullivan says it is an event where you can expect to have robust discussions and immerse yourselves in the strategic conversations with high-profile senior business and political leaders.

“It’s a once in a year barometer on where the relationship with China sits and this year is more important than ever. The speaker insights from the day will provide valuable lessons for the future.”

The Summit will also:

Explore the changing geostrategic landscape and how this might affect business, trade and investment with China.
Have a plethora of leading New Zealand chief executives sharing how they are managing the new realities for their companies in the Covid-19 aftermath.
Provide insights into China’s handling of Covid-19 and the implications for international business, including bilateral trade with New Zealand.
Discuss strategies being employed by the tourism and education sectors.
The Prime Minister, Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern will open the summit on Monday July 20th, followed by a day of debate and discussion from an impressive line-up of leading political and business speakers from both sides of the bilateral trading partnership.
