This week the Chamber surveyed members and asked three questions:
Do you have the capability to operate your business online – 57% of respondents said NO.
Has your landlord offered an acceptable discount for the lockdown period – 63% of respondents said NO
Based on level 3, at what capacity can your business operate at:
- 24% said 100%
- 35% said 50%
- 22% said 25%
- 19% said 0%
This suggests that almost 60% of businesses can operate in level 3 at between 50 – 100% and a further 22% at 25%.
Chamber Chief Executive, Michael Barnett said “this is a good level of activity under level 3 and businesses should do all they can to ensure they comply with the criteria – nothing would be worse than to return to level 4”.
