James Agnew
Chief Financial Officer,  Aroa Biosurgery

A soft-tissue regeneration company that develops, manufactures and distributes medical and surgical products.

James Agnew is the CFO for Mangere based soft tissue regeneration company Aroa Biosurgery, whose innovative New Zealand designed and manufactured products have been used in more than 6 million procedures globally.

James has led the company’s financial strategy for 11 years,  including multiple private market capital raises, the IPO and listing of Aroa on the ASX in 2020.

James has a proven track record of providing financial advice to high growth businesses, and prior to his role at AROA, he was based in New York as the VP of Finance & Operations for MXM Mobile (a division of the Meredith Corporation). James holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University.

Mark Yates and his brother Al co-founded Ecotricity eleven years ago. New Zealand’s first and only provider of ToitÅ« Climate Positive certified electricity to both residential and commercial customers. Proud to be disruptors in the electricity market, Ecotricity now serves 35,000 customers and annually displaces around 46 million tonnes of CO2 by sourcing their power from clean energy.

The Ecotricity team is a strong advocate for solar energy across residential, commercial, and grid-scale projects, collaborating with over 80 solar partners. In their pursuit of a sustainable future, Ecotricity also encourages the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), and in partnership with ChargeNet, they fund the ecoTEC YouTube channel, which has over 27K subscribers and receives up to 300,000 views per video.
