Dr Faisal Aziz Ahmed

High Commissioner of Pakistan to New Zealand

Dr. Ahmed joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 2002 and has held a range of senior diplomatic and leadership roles both in Pakistan and overseas. Since June 2024, he has served as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to New Zealand, with concurrent accreditation to Samoa, Kiribati, and Tonga. He is married and has three children.

Stephen Jacobi

Managing Director, Jacobi Consulting Ltd

Stephen Jacobi is the Managing Director of Jacobi Consulting Limited and an Honorary Senior Fellow at the Helen Clark Foundation. A former trade official, diplomat and business leader, he has extensive experience in international trade and has led several prominent New Zealand trade organisations. He is also a well-known commentator on trade and economic issues.

Fiona Cooper

Executive Director of the New Zealand United States Council

Fiona Cooper is the Executive Director of the New Zealand United States Council, bringing extensive experience in international relations, trade and business. A former diplomat with New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, she has also held leadership roles in the Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum and the banking and dairy sectors.

Dr Rouzbeh Parsi

Associate Professor, Lund University, Sweden

An expert in international relations and Middle Eastern affairs, they hold a PhD focused on modernity, nationalism and gender in Iran. Their career spans academia, foreign policy analysis and leadership roles with the EU Institute for Security Studies and the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, with expertise in global politics, human rights and conflict resolution.
