Breast Cancer Awareness is a cause close to our hearts, and that’s why we’re proud to support it through our event. Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide? In New Zealand, approximately one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, making it the most common cancer affecting Kiwi women. It’s crucial to raise awareness as early detection can greatly improve a patient’s chances of survival. By joining us at our event, you’ll not only have a fantastic time but also contribute to a cause that affects so many men, women and families. Let’s come together to raise awareness and support cancer patients and their families!

All proceeds raised from this pink-filled event will be donated to the PINC & STEEL New Zealand Rehabilitation Foundation, helping to support cancer treatment recovery for New Zealanders. By attending Eat Drink Pink, you will not only enjoy a fantastic day, but also make a significant difference in someone’s life.

Plus, as a special thank you, you will receive a full to the brim goodie-bag that includes the iconic RevitaLash® Cosmetics Double Ended Volume Set Mascara (worth $69).

What’s the Dress code? … It’s easy… It’s PINK PINK PINK!

This year we are bringing together three big brands with big hearts together – RevitaLash New Zealand, Auckland Business Chamber, and Cordis Auckland, to deliver the sell-out in-person fundraiser lunch Eat Drink Pink, along with our incredible sponsors, supporters, and beautiful guests.

Why PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation

Why PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation? PINC & STEEL was founded to make cancer rehabilitation more accessible in NZ, as there is no government funding for cancer rehabilitation. Their cancer rehabilitation program is dedicated to improving the strength, quality of life, and sense of well-being of women, men, and teens diagnosed with cancer.

For every $150 raised, a cancer sufferer can have a one-on-one session with a physiotherapist. For every $200 raised, the foundation can fund 20 group sessions. Cancer rehabilitation and exercise can reduce the side effects of the disease and debilitating cancer treatments, improving functional ability, quality of life, and ultimately, survival.

Our Speakers

Jade Carter
Panel Speaker

Jade Carter is a Kiwi mother who tested positive for the BRCA1 gene mutation, significantly increasing her risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. Faced with these grim statistics, Jade made the courageous decision to undergo a prophylactic double mastectomy. 6 months post-surgery, she has returned to her regular fitness routine and is keen on spreading awareness about the importance of genetic testing for the BRCA1 gene. Jade advocates for women knowing their options and taking control of their health, both for themselves and their families. Her decision to go public with her journey has inspired conversations about the subject and brought comfort to other women dealing with similar issues.

Zeisha Fremaux
Panel Speaker and DJ

Zeisha Fremaux is a top Kiwi DJ who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 36. Just two weeks after her diagnosis, she underwent a mastectomy, followed by an aggressive treatment plan including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Despite complications and delays due to infections, Zeisha remained committed to her fight against cancer. A year later, cancer-free, Zeisha strongly advocates the importance of regular self-checks and not ignoring any signs. She has also recently decided to go public with her journey, urging women to prioritise their own well-being amidst life’s busy demands, regardless of their age.

In addition to her advocacy around breast cancer awareness, Zeisha is passionate about supporting mental health causes, particularly as they relate to the music industry. She leverages her platform to advocate for mental health awareness, participating in various campaigns and initiatives aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues. As an influential figure in her field, Zeisha Fremaux continues to break barriers, inspire fans, and challenge the status quo in both music and social advocacy.

Karin Horen
Panel Speaker

Karin Horen is a twice breast cancer survivor, philanthropist, podcaster and single mother of three beautiful children has become an international beacon for breast cancer awareness and rehabilitation. Co-founding Paddle For Hope and the PaddleOn cancer rehabilitation program with the Pinc And Steel Rehabilitation Foundation, Karin has been fundraising since 2011 to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors.  Her groundbreaking 2019 book, “I Am More Than Just My Tits,” delves into the often-unspoken facets of breast cancer and womanhood, and is available worldwide on Amazon. Additionally, she launched a Mastectomy-Friendly swimwear collection in collaboration with Aurai Swimwear, which debuted on the New Zealand Fashion Week catwalk in 2018.

As a motivational speaker and resilience and growth navigator (coach), Karin is committed to helping people ignite their inner spark, hone their personal goals, and overcome obstacles.
