Don’t humour the tumour from a genetically modified optimist.
Join us for episode three of our Resilience Skills Speaker Series, featuring David Downs, CEO of The New Zealand Story.
David is a true example of resilience, having faced a rare and aggressive form of lymphoma. Through his personal blog series titled “A Mild Touch of the Cancer” and his TEDx talk “Don’t Humour the Tumour,” he has shared his journey and offered valuable insights on navigating life-threatening illnesses.
But that’s not all. David is also a successful author on New Zealand innovation, with two bestselling books: “No.8 Re-wired” and “No.8 Recharged.” He has spent over a decade at Microsoft, including working as a regional director for Southeast Asia, and ten years as a General Manager at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
In addition, David is the founder of the charity project Down with Cancer, which raises funds to make the revolutionary CAR T-cell therapy available in New Zealand.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from David Downs about resilience in the face of adversity.
Brought to you in partnership with business.govt.nz, join our live chat with David from 12 noon on 26th May.
