Jaishankar\n  \nDue to unavoidable exigencies\, this important event will now run from 8.15am until 10am\, an hour later than originally advised\, and will be in the Harbour Room at the Park Hyatt Hotel.\n  \nIndia’s international profile and importance on the world stage is increasing at a time when the international community is forced to respond to a range of regional and global challenges. \nJoin the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade the Auckland Business Chamber to hear from India’s Foreign Minister Dr S. Jaishankar in a conversation with the Chief Executive of the Auckland Business Chamber Simon Bridges as we seek insights and perspectives from a senior member of India’s Government. This will be the first visit to New Zealand by a Foreign Minister of India in more than 20 years and comes as New Zealand celebrates 70 years of diplomatic relations. \nDr Jaishankar is the Minister of External Affairs and a member of the Upper House of Parliament representing the state of Gujarat. Dr Jaishankar joined India’s diplomatic service in 1977\, and went on to serve as India’s Ambassador to the United States\, China and the Czech Republic\, and as High Commissioner to Singapore\, before being appointed as Secretary of External Affairs from 2015 to 2018.
