Cook Island Mentor Programme

We are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Cook Islands Chamber of Commerce and the Auckland Business Chamber.

The Chamber mentor programme is now available for the Cook Island Chamber of Commerce members to access our vast experienced mentors based in Auckland.

What happens when you get a Chamber Mentor?

Chamber Mentors are dedicated businesspeople who are willing to share their knowledge and time with an aspiring leader who is looking for guidance. When you sign up you are creating an opportunity to make the impossible possible.  Providing a wealth of knowledge, skills, experience, and contacts they are willing to share with businesses who are willing to learn.

After completing your application you will be matched with a Chamber Mentor that has the skills to understand the industry you work in and/or the challenges you have identified. From there you will build your mentor relationship, you will agree together how often you will meet, once you complete a year you will have the opportunity to continue in the mentorship programme.

As successful businesspeople, the mentors understand the challenges you face as a business owner or leader of your organisation. By providing an impartial view, mentors encourage you to look at your business or organisation with a fresh perspective as a confidential sounding board. Sometimes, this is all that’s needed to identify growth opportunities.

The mentor’s role is to support, develop, and challenge.  Our Chamber Mentors can help you to:

  • Increase your business knowledge
  • Help you develop and implement a strategy
  • Maximise your business performance
  • Improve your problem-solving abilities
  • Build your confidence
  • Widen your network of business contacts

If you are planning to develop and grow your business, this could be a very effective opportunity to help you achieve your objectives.

Who are Chamber Mentors for?

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, small business owner, or CEO, having a mentor is critical for any leader and their business development. A mentor provides ongoing business support that’s tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Having a mentor can lead to better business ideas and business growth, can support you as you build your business launching into a new venture, or if you are looking for some good advice.
